1000 years old oak

The oldest oak in Europe

A hike from Weinbergweg to Bierbaumberg leads to an unforgettable natural moment: In a meadow surrounded by forest is a giant old tree. This 1,000 year old oak with its considerable circumference of 8.75 metres is generally thought to be the oldest oak in Europe. You can relax in its shadows, or you can sit and contemplate the many, sometimes stormy epochs that this magnificent tree has survived.

You can reach the 1000-year-old oak on the Bad Blumauer hiking tour 3 or on the biking tour B7 or FF8.
