A magic place

Bad Blumau has many attractions, including the unspoiled Lafnitz river meadows, a picturesque stork field and, above all, the 13-hectare large spa park with its “living willow” structures, plus the Safenbach stream as a flowing lifeline. An idyllic pond area with stone walls conveys an almost Mediterranean atmosphere, enticing you to set off on pleasant walks through peaceful natural surroundings.

Peace and quiet can also be found in the Maria Brunn forest grotto, the Lourdes chapel and in the Baroque parish church built around 1702. Far older than this masterpiece of Baroque architecture, however, is our famous 1000-year-old oak tree. It takes seven adults to join hands and reach right around the mighty tree trunk. This oak tree is considered one of Europe’s great natural wonders.
